Safety Note:
Why Outward-Facing Winches Matter?
When selecting a rescue tripod for personnel lifting, the orientation of the winch is a important safety factor.
The Risk of Inward-Facing Winches: Traditional tripods often mount the winch facing inward. During an emergency rescue or routine lifting, the winch handle and the cable are positioned directly over the entry point. This creates a high risk of the equipment or the operator's movements causing unintentional injury to the person being hoisted.
The "Black Viper Upgrade" Solution:
The upgraded rescue tripod with winch model features a winch assembly that is rotated and adjusted to face outwards.
- Clear Clearance: Moves the mechanical action away from the rescue path, ensuring the person being lifted has a clear, unobstructed exit.
- Operator Ergonomics: Allows the operator to stand in a safer, more stable position outside the tripod footprint.
- Injury Prevention: Eliminates the risk of the handle striking the personnel or the cable snagging on the victim's gear during the critical lift phase.
