MOM Certification and Re-certification of existing in-use lifting gears are some of the Test Services provided by STL.
WHY Re-certification? Recertification is needed as it ensures the compliance of the examination and testing requirements for statutory lifting equipment, as regulated by the MOM-WSH. (Ministry of Man Power - Workplace Safety and Health)
References to the requirement stated: MOM - WSH circular- dated 19th Jun 2020
Load Testing on the Lifting Gears, may be requested and performed on-site to meet regulatory requirements or to satisfy specific requirements or needs by respective organisation for certication/ verification purposes.
Other than the common smaller lifting gears, such as lifting slings are being requested for load testing, larger lifting gears such as the Spreader Beams and Spreader Frames are also highly requested for testing on our list.
As you might be thinking how the larger lifting gears with high tonnage are being tested, let us help you visualize the process from a actual testing site with some pictures below.
