Load Testing (Vertical Pull Test) on Mobile Crane
June 23, 2021 We usually receive request to perform Proof Load Test on Test Gears of our customers on our Talurit Test Bed, where we performed the Load Test horizontally. At times, we do perform vertical pull test depending on the test requirements and scope. For example, for large spreader beams and frames, we will perform the testing on the open field where cranes with load cells are utilized to perform the Load Testing.
Other than performing Load Testing on Test Gears, we do receive request at times to perform the load testing on small equipment also. Such testing are usually performed within the STL workshop where manual weights are used to validate the test. Let us look at the example of such a test below - Mobile Crane Load Testing...
Mobile Crane Load Test
Our Test Target of the day: Mobile Workshop Crane also commonly known as an engine crane (WLL at 750kg)
Our Physical Test Weight (Load): 3 runs, in 500Kg, 750Kg & 900kg
Test Proper: All 3 runs of loading manually jacked up to the "hold-position" of at least 10cm off the level ground & hold for a minimum of 5 minutes.
Quick run-through on the loading proceedings with 900kg test load (120% of 750kg Working Load Limit)

Check out a short clip taken on the 1st run at test-point of 500kg loading below...
