Our In-house Thimble Eye Mechanical Splicing
December 10, 2020 Abrasion often occurs to the wire rope sling eye during operations where there's excessive contact of the wires to the edges, which may lead to wire damage.
To protect from such damages, we can add a thimble to the wire rope sling eye, providing a solid steel barrier between the wire ropes and the other connected fittings used in operations; as such we can always see the thimble eye wire rope being commonly used in heavy applications such as lifting and towing.
